Backdoor:PHP/Small.M

Backdoor:PHP/Small.M

Is marked on Microsoft’s website as being a “severe” virus. Strangely enough, there are no symptoms associated with this “severe” threat. Alert notifications from antivirus programs may be the only symptoms you will see. Malwarebytes Premium is my anti-virus program of choice. It found the Backdoor:PHP/Small.M. and quarantined it so I could delete it. Note: The Backdoor:PHP/Small.M virus is written completely in php.

So how do you remove it? Install your favorite anti-virus program, update it and scan your system, delete the virus. Restart your computer. Done.

Top 10 Computer Tips 2015

1. SET WINDOWS UPDATE TO RUN AUTOMATICALLY

A computer that is not updating is more likely to run slow or be exploited for vulnerabilities. Random reboots, blue screens, viruses, spyware etc.

2. INSTALL ANTI VIRUS SOFTWARE THAT WORKS IN REAL-TIME

In most cases, free versions of anti virus software will do the basics, which in some cases may be enough. Basic virus scans, quarantines and deletes. Premium paid versions of anti virus software have the one feature I like, real-time protection. I like Malwarebytes Premium. After installing this or any anti virus software, update the program’s virus definitions and run a scan.

3. PROTECT YOUR ELECTRONICS

Unplug all computers, electronic devices and your home theater etc. This includes telephone wires and ethernet cables. Lighting travels through those wires too.

They are easy to figure out and will help you backup your data safely.

When you least expect it is when you need to know your usernames and passwords. If you like to use a pen and paper, great, just keep it in one place. If you like to create folders on your desktop and create new text files inside it, perfect.
